
Mirko Viglino
Mirko Viglino (Rome, 1980) is a documentary photographer based in Rome and London, with a background as a commercial aircraft pilot and air traffic controller.
In 2012 he graduated from the photojournalism course at ISFCI, and later received a grant to attend the WSP masterclass, where he deepened and developed his approach to storytelling. He is a certified drone pilot with authorization for critical and BVLOS operations.
His work has been published across Europe, the United States and Asia, and over the years he has received numerous international awards and recognitions.
In 2018 he began a collaboration with Dorothy Circus Gallery in London, and in 2020 he received the National Geographic Emergency Fund grant and was selected for the Nikon Noor Academy.
His work focuses on popular beliefs, cold cases and personal projects, developed by blending documentary photography, cinematic lighting techniques and investigative journalism.
Since 2021 he has been exploring the possibilities offered by the NFT world. He is currently represented by the curatorial platform Quantum.art, and his projects have been exhibited in Paris, Hong Kong, Rome, London, New York, Dubai, Sharjah, and are on permanent display at the Quantum Space gallery in Los Angeles.
In 2022 he received his first assignment to produce a photographic project exclusively for the NFT world, commissioned by the curatorial platform arttaca.io (Hong Kong).
He is also involved in education and consulting in the field of NFT photography.
