Annalisa D'Angelo

Annalisa D'Angelo was born in 1977 in Lanciano, Chieti. In 1995 she moved to the United States. In 2001 she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emerson College in Boston. From 2001 to 2005 she worked at the Toscana Photographic Workshop, organizing and running photography courses in close contact with some of the most renowned and respected internationally acclaimed photographers, including Michael Ackerman, Machiel Botman, Lorenzo Castore, and Jim Goldberg. In 2006 she began her long-standing collaboration with Paolo Pellegrin/Magnum Photos, creating exhibitions and books. Since January 2010 she has worked as an independent curator, editor, and consultant. Over the years she has worked with Yolanda Cuomo, Machiel Botman, Lorenzo Castore, Giovanni Cocco, André Liohn, Stefano de Luigi, Pietro Masturzo, Simona Ghizzoni, Cristina Vatielli, Alessandro Penso, and many others. She has curated exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Since 2012, driven by her passion for teaching and mentoring, she has been editing the work of young photographers.
