Daniele Vita
Daniele Vita was born in Viterbo in 1975.
He studied anthropology from 1995 and began photographing as a self-taught artist.
From 2003 to 2006 he worked as a set photographer in Roman prisons.
In 2005 he exhibited at Santa Rita in Rome.
In 2007 he exhibited at the Uffizi in Florence for the Alinari brothers.
In 2008 he won the Premio Toscana Photo Festival.
In 2009 he was a finalist for the Kiwanis award.
In 2011 he exhibited at MIA and was a finalist for the Unicef Photo of the Year; in 2012 he received the G. Tedde grant.
In 2014 he won CastelnuovoFotografia.
In 2015 he exhibited La forza delle rovine at Palazzo Altemps.
In 2017 he exhibited at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan. In 2018 at Med Photo Fest.
In 2019 he won the Crediamo ai tuoi occhi award with La Settimana Santa in Sicilia, won the Premio Mavi 1801, and received an honorable mention at the Unicef Photo of the Year in both 2019 and 2020.
In 2021 he won the World Report Award in the Generazioni category at the Festival della Fotografia Etica.
In 2022 he won first prize in the Daily Life Picture Story category at POY Pictures of the Year, as well as the BarTur Photo Award.
